Research, survey, computerization and disclosure

Archeometra works in the cultural heritage sector with different types of interventions which are nevertheless strictly tied: from excavation to archeological digital surveys, from non invasive fact-finding research to detailed documentation on building complexes of historical-architectonic interest, to computerized management of historical cartography, to the creation of plans for spreading and publishing information on digital supports and on the web.

The Company: - since 1998 it has regularly collaborated with the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage in Rome's town council, part of the program for research, study and valorization of the monumental area of the Imperial Forums, from the Excavation in Trajan's Forum (1998-2001), up until the most recent contributions (2004-2007) in the central part of the Forum of Augustus, in Caesar's Forum and in the Temple of Peace;

- the company produced digital documentation detailing structures both of archeological importance, like the paving section of the ancient Via Collatina in Rome, the Domus of the Labyrinth in Pompei and the Attic of the Colosseum, and of extreme artistic-monumental value, like the architectonic-decorative systems and the wooden dome of the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Salute in Venice;

- it collaborated in a pilot plan to set up a system to monitor the architectonic vulnerability of the frescoes in monumental backdrops exposed to earthquake risks, part of the "Safeguard and Prevention program for Cultural Heritage" of the Umbria Region (2005-2008);

- it provided advice to the Rome Province to realize a "Design Plan, 2007-2009, for the restoration, touristic-cultural valorization and museum fruition of the Valentini Palace architectonic complex," headquarters of the Organization since 1873 and performed archeological surveys inside the cellars of the Palace itself, in the area known as "Small Hot springs";

- it directly followed the educational exhibition system set up at the archeological sites part of the largest survey and excavation campaigns performed and also realized the communication system to support the convention "The excavation of the Imperial Forums (2004-2007). Research Days." which was held at the Ara Pacis Auditorioum.
